Yoga Classes

One of the oldest forms of movement practice and health restoration is the ancient art of yoga. Derived from the Sanskrit word “yuji,” meaning yoke or union, yoga is an ancient practice that brings together mind and body.

Yoga incorporates a range of breathing exercises, meditation and poses designed to encourage relaxation, reduce stress, tone and align the body. There are many proposed benefits of practicing yoga, here are just some of the well known benefits:

  • Reduces Stress
  • Relieves anxiety
  • Improved heart and lung health
  • Improved flexibility
  • Improved mood and awareness
  • Assists with pain management
  • May promote improved quality of sleep

We offer a full range of yoga classes. See our timetable for more information. One of our most popular classes is the vinyasa flow class, here's a little more about this:

  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga: By moving from posture to posture with a linking Vinyasa, the body is realigned in preparation for the next posture and the body’s internal heat is increased. Strength, flexibility, grounding and stamina are enhanced. The focus is on establishing the key foundations of yoga. Synchronising breath to movement, building internal core strength and general strength and flexibility. Ideal for beginner or intermediate level with variations of postures being given to accommodate mixed abilities
